I have collected and/or faved quite a bit of Anubis art. So far, all that I have, has been beautiful, artistic and respectful to this incredible Ancient Egyptian God. He is my Patron Deity. Therefore, I do not like anything that depicts Him as anything but a MALE God. I have seen quite a bit of it, that depicts Him as female...a Goddess. He is not female, nor has He ever been female. To me, and this is just MY opinion, it lacks respect for The Great Lord Anubis(Yinepu...if you want one of His technical names), and simply put, it makes Him look very different then He is supposed to look. It would be like depicting Jesus Christ as a woman, when we all know he is not female. Same goes for any of the Gods/Goddesses. Respect for Them is key here. And I will not accept any disrespect...but, as I said, this is just MY opinion. The art in question, despite depicting Anubis as female, is still quite beautiful. I just wish it had been His true gender.
